Familiarity with ISO/TS quality methods and other precision turning machinery (such as Acmes) are a plus. Hourly rate commensurate with experience, full benefits package. Summary As a Davenport Screw Machine Setup/Operator, you will be integral to our manufacturing process, ensuring precision and quality in machining operations. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, your core skills in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge will be essential for fulfilling your responsibilities. You will utilize precision measuring instruments and hand tools to maintain high standards of quality control. Your experience in tooling and basic math will support efficient production workflows. Set up and/or operate screw machines according to blueprints and job specifications.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning.
Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers to verify part dimensions.
Monitor production processes to maintain quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
Troubleshoot machine issues and make necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
Document production data and maintain accurate records of work performed.
Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to machining techniques and equipment.
Adhere to company policies and procedures to uphold quality and efficiency standards. Qualifications
Blueprint reading
Mechanical knowledge
Manufacturing experience
Machining skills
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
Understanding of GD&T
Proficient with hand tools
Materials handling experience
