Machine Operators A new manufacturing facility (Yellow USA Ohio) has opened in Dover, OH. We are looking to fill multiple positions including machine operators. Yellow USA Ohio manufactures high-performing pallet essentials made from waste residues. The primary objective of Operators I is to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of the longitudinal saws. The primary objective of Operator II is to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of the forklift to support the reception of materials and the movement of finished goods, and to support inventory management at materials, finished goods and spare parts levels. The primary objective of the Operator III is to ensure the reliable, safe, and efficient operation of the beam saws, the quality carrousel and the robot used for palletization. The able includes helping in the execution of routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing necessary repairs to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. Reporting directly to the Shift Supervisor, the Operators I, II and III are also expected to: Provide hands-on support during all changeovers. Assist in other operational roles as directed by the Supervisor, contributing to the overall flexibility and performance of the team.
INTERACTION WITH OTHER FUNCTIONS
Operators works in close coordination with the Shift Supervisor, providing regular updates on the performance and condition of critical equipment during production. In addition, the Operators collaborates with: Other staff members on the shift to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production operations. Effective communication and teamwork across shifts are essential to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Operator I:
Operation of the longitudinal saw
Ensure maximum uptime and operational continuity.
Operator II:
Operation of the forklift
Support the reception of materials and the movement of finished goods during the assigned shift while ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance.
Constant movement of hoppers with scrap material.
Ensure maximum uptime and operational continuity.
Operator III:
Operation of the Beam Saws, Quality Carrousel and Palletization Robot
Operate the Beam Saws, Quality Carrousel and Palletization Robot during the assigned shift while ensuring productivity, safety, and compliance.
Ensure maximum uptime and operational continuity at saw, quality and finished goods level.
2. Production Efficiency & Product Quality Drive efficiency to meet output targets and minimize waste. Ensure the quality of finished products meets established standards. 3. Maintenance & Technical Support Support in the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance before, during, and/or after production. Collaborate with technical teams to address equipment or system issues impacting production. Provide hands-on support during changeovers and whenever operational demands require it. 4. Compliance & Security Ensure compliance with local regulations regarding plant security and insurance requirements.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
Experience & Technical Knowledge Minimum 1 to 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Some experience in equipment operation (Op I) Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems in a manufacturing setting (Op III) Knowledge of PLCs and pneumatics systems. (Op III) Experience in equipment operation, maintenance, and installation. Ability to step into and perform any role on the production line when needed, especially in a semi-complex process managed by a small team. Demonstrated knowledge of accident prevention protocols, with a Technology & Systems Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook). Work Schedule & Flexibility Demonstrate a proactive and solution-oriented approach to work. Must be on-site during all assigned shifts. Willingness to work overtime and/or extended 12-hour shifts as needed, particularly until the company expands to additional shifts.
