Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our manufacturing team. This role is responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting equipment to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, experience in fabrication or machining environments, and a commitment to safety and precision.

Primary Responsibilities:
Operate CNC laser cutting machines to cut materials according to job specifications and production schedules Set up machines, including loading materials, selecting programs, and adjusting machine settings Read and interpret fabrication drawings and work orders to ensure accurate production Monitor cutting processes to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as needed Inspect finished parts and perform quality checks to maintain high production standards Troubleshoot machine issues and perform routine maintenance to minimize downtime Coordinate with production team members and supervisors to meet daily production goals Maintain organized work areas Track inventory of raw materials and notify leadership when supplies need replenishment Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements Clean and deburr parts as needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Previous experience operating laser cutting equipment in a machining or fabrication environment preferred Basic knowledge of CNC programming or CAD software is a plus Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on work ethic required Ability to read fabrication drawings and use measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple tasks Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-conscious
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
