Job Description

Position Summary The Packager is responsible for safely and efficiently packaging industrial cleaning products according to company specifications, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. This role supports the production process by ensuring finished products are properly labeled, packaged, inspected, and prepared for shipment. The Packager must follow all safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while maintaining a clean and organized work environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Package industrial cleaning chemicals and related products into containers, bottles, pails, drums, or other designated packaging materials. Operate packaging equipment, filling machines, labeling machines, and sealing equipment according to established procedures. Verify product labels, lot codes, batch numbers, and packaging specifications for accuracy. Conduct visual inspections of finished products to ensure quality and compliance with company standards. Monitor packaging lines and report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, or safety issues to supervisors. Assemble packaging materials, cartons, pallets, and shipping containers as required. Palletize finished products and prepare them for storage or shipment. Maintain accurate production, packaging, and inventory records. Follow all safety regulations, chemical handling procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Assist with line changeovers, equipment cleaning, and sanitation activities. Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with housekeeping standards. Support continuous improvement initiatives and team production goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience preferred. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Basic math skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to safely use basic hand tools and packaging equipment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the work shift. Ability to lift and move up to 60 pounds regularly. Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to chemicals, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Ability to wear required PPE, including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed shoes, respirators, or other protective equipment as required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Understanding of workplace safety practices. Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Ability to maintain productivity and accuracy in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols. Working Conditions Manufacturing and warehouse environment. Exposure to industrial cleaning chemicals and chemical odors within regulated safety limits. Frequent interaction with production equipment and moving machinery. Overtime, weekend, or shift work may be required based on production demands. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Packaging accuracy and quality. Production output and efficiency.
