In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality pet food products in a safe, efficient, and compliant environment. Your expertise in food processing, machine operation, and safety standards will ensure every batch meets our rigorous quality and safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the health and happiness of pets everywhere while working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting that values innovation and teamwork. Duties Prepare pet food ingredients according to established recipes and manufacturing procedures, ensuring consistency and quality. Operate food processing machinery, including mixers, grinders, ovens, and packaging equipment, adhering to all safety and operational guidelines. Maintain strict sanitation standards by cleaning workstations and equipment regularly in compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Handle raw materials and finished products safely using material handling equipment such as forklifts, while practicing manual handling techniques to prevent injury. Monitor production processes closely, troubleshooting mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure continuous operation. Follow all regulatory standards related to food safety, legal compliance, and manufacturing protocols to guarantee product integrity. Assist with inventory management by accurately measuring ingredients using basic math skills and recording production data as required. Skills Proven experience in cooking, baking, or food preparation within the food industry or restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of sanitation practices, safety standards in production, and regulatory compliance such as
HACCP, CGMP
(Current Good Manufacturing Practices), GMP, and food safety management systems. Mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues quickly; experience operating manufacturing equipment is highly valued. Excellent manual handling skills including heavy lifting and safe material handling techniques. Familiarity with food processing procedures, kitchen operations, or culinary experience that emphasizes knife skills and food preparation techniques. Ability to follow detailed manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately while maintaining high safety protocols. Basic math proficiency for measuring ingredients and adjusting recipes as needed. Certification or experience with forklift operation and material handling equipment is a plus. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and food safety standards in a manufacturing environment.
