Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Winder Operator Assistant to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will support the winding process of various materials, ensuring that products meet quality standards and production specifications. Responsibilities Assist in operating converting machines, including flexo presses and other industrial equipment, to wind and package materials accurately. Support the setup, adjustment, and troubleshooting of winding and converting machinery to maintain optimal performance. Interpret production documents and work orders to ensure correct material handling, dimensional measurements, and packaging specifications are met. Conduct quality checks throughout the winding process, adhering to strict quality standards in production. Perform manual handling tasks such as paper packaging, material loading, and machine component adjustments safely and efficiently. Maintain safety protocol adherence by following safety standards in production and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Assist with basic mechanical troubleshooting to resolve minor equipment issues promptly, minimizing downtime. Experience Machine operation experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Familiarity with mechanical knowledge related to converting machines, flexo presses, or machining is advantageous. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and documentation accuracy are required. Ability to lift and maintain 50+ pounds with knowledge of safety standards in production environments ensures a safe working space for all team members. Experience with forklift operation or prepress processes is a plus but not mandatory. Demonstrated ability to interpret manufacturing documents and follow detailed instructions accurately.
