Full-time, hourly - nonexempt Position Summary The Assembler is responsible for accurately assembling and preparing parts/components used in the production of aerospace and defense equipment. This role ensures that all assemblies and subassemblies meet quality, safety, and compliance standards before moving to the next stage of production. As part of a lean, collaborative team, this role also participates in general warehouse support tasks to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment. Key Responsibilities Assemble, test-fit, and inspect components per traveler cards, drawings, and work instructions. Use hand tools, torque wrenches, and basic equipment safely and properly. Verify part numbers, lot numbers, and quantities before assembly. Flag any material shortages, discrepancies, or quality issues to the Production Manager or QA team. Assist with receiving, staging, and filling out paperwork for incoming material as needed. Support inventory control through accurate counts. Prepare finished assemblies for shipment, ensuring packaging meets contract requirements. Rotate through shared warehouse tasks (keeping workstations and common areas clean, safe, and free of hazards). Qualifications/Requirements 1+ year of assembly, fabrication, or manufacturing experience. Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort with hand tools is a MUST. Ability to read traveler cards, basic drawings, and follow written work instructions. HS diploma or equivalent. Ability to stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Use of hands for fine assembly work. Competencies Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate. Comfortable working in a lean, rotating-role environment. Dependable attendance and time management.

Pay:

From $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
