Duties Operate and monitor various manufacturing machines such as CNC laser cutters, CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, plasma cutters, stamping presses, and forming machines to produce precise metal parts. Set up machinery by interpreting mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to ensure correct tooling and machine configurations. Perform quality inspections using measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and precision measurement tools to verify dimensions and adherence to specifications. Maintain safety standards by following strict safety protocols during machine operation, material handling, and fabrication processes. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and optimize productivity. Assist in sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and tooling adjustments as needed for various projects. Use hand tools and cranes safely for material handling and component assembly within the production area. Skills Proficiency in operating CNC machinery including laser cutting, CNC lathe, CNC milling machine, plasma cutting, press brake machine, stamping press, and welding equipment. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math, and other precision measurement tools for quality control. Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments with strict adherence to safety protocols during all operations. Ability to perform machine setup, tooling adjustments, and machining tool setup efficiently. Experience with sheet metal fabrication techniques including forming machines and metal forming processes. Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings (blueprint reading) and applying shop math for accurate machining tasks. Capable of working with hand tools, fabricating components, and performing assembly tasks with precision. Mechanical aptitude combined with a proactive approach to troubleshooting equipment issues promptly. We're looking for people who are: On time Respectful Hardworking Detail oriented Teachable Pay starts at $22 an hour and will be adjusted according to experience. At our company everyone (even the owner) pulls up their shirt sleeves and gets dirty at times. All employees help with shop improvement projects & if the needs of the business don't dictate laser/press brake work then various other tasks may be given.
