New Hudson Facades, located in Linwood, PA, is seeking Machine Operators Who we are New Hudson Facades is a custom architectural facade company specializing in the design, engineering, manufacturing, and installation of curtain wall facades on world-class buildings. These outer coverings, made of decorative glass, create an aesthetic appeal to skylines across the country. We are seeking a skilled and efficient Machine Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery with precision and care, ensuring the highest quality output of our products. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will play a crucial role in our company's production success. Role and Responsibilities:
Operate machinery as per the operating instructions and ensure efficient production processes. Perform machine setups (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle. Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) to meet quality and efficiency standards. Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines and ensure continuous supply without interruptions. Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications. Test the operation of machines periodically to guarantee their smooth running. Maintain activity logs and report on daily production volumes and quality. Troubleshoot problems during machine operation and perform basic repairs and maintenance when necessary. Keep work areas clean and organized to maintain a safe working environment. Always adhere to safety guidelines and company regulations. Communicate any machine malfunctions or irregularities to the immediate supervisor for timely resolution. Monitor and manage inventory of materials and parts needed for machine operation. Collaborate with other team members to optimize production processes. Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with machine technology and operation techniques. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to increase production efficiency. Have working knowledge of diverse high-speed machinery and measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, tape measure etc.) and the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Skills and Abilities:
Understanding of production procedures Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g., constant use of protective gear) Analytical skills and attention to detail Teamwork and communication skills Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Familiarity with control operations and automated equipment Basic computer and mathematical skills Willingness to undergo on-the-job training. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, if required Proven experience as a machine operator.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand for long hours and perform repetitive tasks. Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items and work overtime
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Candidates must possess at least one year of experience in a Machine Shop.
