Role Overview A knitting machine operator would be responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring industrial knitting machines to produce high-quality knit fabrics according to customer specifications. Machine Setup & Operation:
Configure flatbed or circular knitting machines for new production runs, adjusting gauges, cutters, and diameters to achieve the desired fabric width and appearance.
Production Monitoring:
Tend machines during operation, ensuring consistent fabric quality and meeting program specifications.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform basic maintenance, identify and resolve minor mechanical issues, and support knitting technicians with more complex repairs.
Quality Control:
Work with the inspection department to ensure fabrics meet quality standards before moving to finishing.
Team Collaboration:
Operate as part of a textile manufacturing team, following production schedules and communicating with supervisors and technicians. Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency with industrial knitting machines (flatbed, circular, or other types).
- Understanding of yarn types, gauge settings, and fabric construction.
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications.
