Position Title Earthworks Civil Helper Location Texas Gulf Coast, TX Functionally Reports into Superintendent FLSA Status Non-exempt

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Industrial Civil Helper will provide support and assistance to various civil engineering projects. The Civil Helper performs a range of tasks, including material handling, equipment operation, site preparation, and general construction duties.

REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE

Must have at least1-2+ years of experience as an Industrial CivilHelper. Mustbe able to follow instructions correctly. Must be willing and able to follow all instructed safety regulations. Must be able to make itto workon time andworkthe designated schedule and any overtime as needed with the proper notification. Must have a valid Driver's License. Mustpass drug and background check.

KNOWLEDGE

Material Handling:

Assistin the loading, unloading, and transportation of construction materials, tools, and equipment to and from the work site. Maintain an organized inventory of materials and supplies. Prepare the construction sites by clearing debris, setting up safety barriers, and erecting temporary structures as directed by the project supervisor. Operate basic equipment such as hand tools, wheelbarrows, and small machinery under the guidanceorexperienced operators. Collaborate with skilled tradespeople, such ashand tools, power tools, wheelbarrows, and small machinery under the guidelines and report any equipment malfunctions or issues promptly. Assistin excavation work, digging trenches, and preparing the ground for foundations, utilities, or drainage systems.

Assistin the leveling and grading of surfaces asrequired. Support concrete- relatedtasks, such as mixing, pouring, and finishing. Help with the installation of rebar and formwork. Maintain a clean and organized work area by removing debris, garbage, and hazardous materials. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Record andreportwork progress, includingmaterials used, tasks completed, and any issuesencountered, to the project supervisor. Maintainaccuratedocumentation and contribute toprojectsreports asrequired. Work closely with other team members, including engineers, technicians, and contribute to a positive and productive workenvironment.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High School Diploma or equivalent

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Employeewillbe requiredto adhere tolarge amountsof standing, walking, bending, squatting,sittingand lifting. Will talk and hear to communicate. Will use arms and hands to signal, grab, hold, turn, push, and pull objects, materials, controls, and tools. May berequiredto pick up, lift, carry and move up to 50lbs. Will work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/ scaffolding usingappropriate fallprotection requirements. Must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold and wind) while wearingappropriate PPE. Will berequiredto wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including but not limited to hardhat, safety glasses/spoggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leatherglovesand leather steel-toed work boots.
