Job Description
This is a 1099 Job. Straight Pay. Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Band Saw Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating band saw machines to accurately cut and shape metal and other materials according to technical specifications. Your expertise will ensure high-quality production, safety compliance, and efficient workflow. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to precision manufacturing processes in a dynamic environment. Duties Set up and operate band saw machines, ensuring proper tooling and safety measures are in place before starting each task Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine cutting requirements Measure materials accurately using precision measurement instruments to meet quality standards Adjust machine settings and tooling based on material type and project specifications for optimal performance Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on band saw equipment to prevent downtime Collaborate with team members on fabrication projects involving sheet metal, metal forming, and assembly tasks Ensure adherence to safety protocols and manufacturing standards throughout all operations Requirements Proven experience operating band saw machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints Ability to use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges for quality control purposes Basic math skills including shop math necessary for precise measurements and calculations Experience with welding, forming machines, sheet metal fabrication, tooling setup, and assembly processes is a plus Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Join our team as a Band Saw Operator where your skills will directly impact our manufacturing excellence.
