Set-Up Technician
DIRECT HIRE
$21-25/hr 1st shift Monday

  • 3pm Job Description The Set-Up Technician supports a high-volume manufacturing operation by setting up, adjusting, and maintaining production equipment to ensure accurate, efficient, and consistent output.
This role involves performing machine changeovers, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance while working closely with production teams to improve line uptime and overall efficiency. Responsibilities Set up and operate manufacturing equipment to ensure products are produced accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards. Perform machine changeovers and switch overs to support different product runs and packaging configurations. Make machine adjustments and minor changes to maintain optimal performance, product quality, and line efficiency. Use equipment manuals, job aids, and guidelines to complete preventive maintenance tasks and minor repairs on production equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues on production lines and take corrective actions to minimize downtime. Participate in developing, refining, and monitoring procedures to improve line uptime, throughput, and overall efficiencies. Lead or assist with packaging validations to confirm equipment and processes meet required specifications. Support and participate in component line trials and special projects related to new products, packaging, or process improvements. Monitor equipment performance during production and communicate issues or improvement opportunities to appropriate team members. Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment, and help maintain a clean and organized work area. Work a consistent first-shift schedule and be available for occasional additional hours, including some weekend work as needed to meet production demands. Essential Skills Required
  • Experience with manufacturing
  • Machine operation experience
  • Ability to conduct switch overs, make machine adjustments, and other minor changes to ensure products are produced accurately and efficient
  • Participate in developing and monitoring procedures to improve line uptime and efficiencies.
  • Use manuals, job aids and/or guidelines to complete preventive maintenance and minor repairs to production equipment.
  • Lead or assist with packaging validations, component line trials, and special projects. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Blacksburg, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42640.00
  • $53040.
00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Health Dental Vision
