The Machine Operator will need to understand the entire manufacturing process and will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the line including setup, normal production, tear down, sanitation and continuous improvement.

401k Paid time off Essential duties and responsibilities: Learn processing equipment in detail. Operate equipment from an HMI screen, understanding normal states; identifying and reporting non-normal states. Properly fill out all required paperwork in both physical and digital formats. Serve as subject matter expert for product consistency, advising on impact of proposed changes when requested. Quickly adapt to process changes while upholding company standards of human safety, food safety, and quality. Understand how all areas in the plant interact and influence each other, communicate with other teams to optimize production standards. Serve as a resource for leadership on various topics such as safety, employee relation, production and quality-related questions. Continuously strive for improvement in production efficiencies so that downtime is minimized and production yield is maximized. Operate and manipulate pumps, valves, and agitators, understanding the function and variables associated with each. Understand the programming sequence for automated controls and report with specificity if it errs. Troubleshoot common issues, record and report causes and effects, and participate in investigations when necessary. Report human safety, food safety, and quality problems to appropriate personnel. Identify opportunities for improvement in process sequencing, product scheduling, and repeatability of product standards. Ability to understand machines and make necessary adjustments as needed. Ability to use hand tools. Other task as assigned. Essential knowledge, skills and abilities: 1 year of experience in food manufacturing and some experience operating automated equipment. Work within strict tolerances for product specifications Adapt quickly to a rapidly changing environment with a positive get-it-done attitude Proficient in Microsoft Suite and interfacing with HMI screens Ability to work safely around chemicals, heights, loud noises, mechanical equipment, wet environments, and other potential hazards
