Full-Time, Hourly | Starting at $22/hour
DOE Position Summary:
The Precast Concrete Yard Operator assists with daily yard operations, material handling, loading and unloading precast concrete products, and supporting production and delivery activities. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and maintaining a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities Work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout the year. Climb on and off semi-trailers multiple times per day to assist with loading, unloading, and securing materials. Set and inspect rigging for cranes and forklifts in accordance with company safety procedures. Assist with moving, staging, and organizing precast concrete products and materials. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Communicate effectively with drivers, crane operators, forklift operators, and yard personnel. Perform routine inspections of rigging and yard equipment. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Support other yard and production activities as assigned. Qualifications Ability to work safely in outdoor environments and physical job site conditions. Ability to climb, bend, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday. Knowledge of rigging practices or willingness to learn rigging procedures for crane and forklift operations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Effective verbal communication skills. Dependable with a strong record of on-time attendance and performance. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous construction, crane, forklift, precast, manufacturing, or yard experience is preferred but not required. Physical Requirements Frequent climbing on and off trailers and equipment. Ability to lift and carry materials as required. Ability to stand, walk, and work on uneven surfaces for extended periods. Ability to work in hot, cold, wet, and windy conditions.
