Position Overview Our client, a confidential medical device manufacturer, is seeking a Manufacturing Associate
I / II / III
to support the assembly and production of high-quality medical devices. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working with small components, hand tools, microscopes, measurement equipment, and controlled manufacturing environments. This position is responsible for assembling products according to approved manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), performing in-process quality checks, identifying production issues, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. Essential Responsibilities Follow all safety rules, company policies, procedures, and required workplace practices. Assemble medical device products using small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and test fixtures. Follow approved manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality standards. Perform required in-process quality inspections and communicate quality or process concerns promptly. Identify and report unacceptable materials, components, or sub-assemblies to the appropriate supervisor or engineering team. Maintain the integrity of controlled manufacturing environments by following required gowning, cleanliness, and environmental procedures. Maintain accurate and complete manufacturing and quality records in accordance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP). Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and applicable quality and regulatory requirements. Work with supervisors, engineers, and technicians to troubleshoot production issues and identify opportunities for process improvement. Participate in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and other continuous improvement initiatives. Develop familiarity with production terminology, common manufacturing defects, and the impact of process variations. Demonstrate the ability to move between multiple production stations while maintaining consistent quality and accuracy. May be certified to train other production employees on manufacturing processes and procedures. Read and interpret basic engineering drawings, specifications, work instructions, and method sheets. Complete required electronic system entries accurately and in a timely manner. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Basic English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. Basic math skills. Ability to work with small components and adhesives. Comfortable working with microscopes and other precision equipment. Strong attention to detail and ability to consistently follow written instructions. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Previous manufacturing, assembly, medical device, cleanroom, or regulated production experience is a plus.
