Position Summary Titmus, LLC is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our Maryland manufacturing operation. Titmus operates within a family of affiliated companies that manufacture vision-screening equipment, physical-therapy equipment, therapeutic ultrasound products, and fetal and vascular Doppler devices. We are a small company with fewer than 20 employees. Every team member plays an important role and must be willing to wear multiple hats, respond to changing priorities, and assist wherever needed. The technician's primary responsibility will be learning and performing precision manufacturing processes involving delicate mechanical, ceramic, and electronic components. This work may include controlled bonding, fine soldering, surface preparation, testing, inspection, and careful adherence to written procedures. The successful candidate will also assemble other medical devices, perform inventory counts and inspections, complete production documentation and quality records, and assist with other manufacturing and operational needs. Previous experience manufacturing our specific products is not required. Titmus will provide product-specific training. Primary Responsibilities Learn and perform precision medical-device manufacturing processes. Handle, prepare, bond, and assemble delicate mechanical, ceramic, and electronic components. Perform precision sanding, cleaning, adhesive mixing, soldering, wiring, and connector assembly. Assemble medical devices and components Operate production and testing fixtures according to established procedures. Inspect completed work and accurately document test and inspection results. Complete production documents, inspection records, and other required quality documentation. Follow controlled work instructions and company quality-system requirements. Support manufacturing requirements for Titmus and its affiliated companies. Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections as assigned. Conduct physical inventory counts and help maintain inventory accuracy. Identify damaged, incorrect, or nonconforming materials and promptly report issues. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment. Assist with packaging, material handling, rework, repairs, and other production needs. Support engineering and quality personnel with troubleshooting and process improvements. Shift between assignments as production priorities and business needs change. Perform other manufacturing and operational duties as needed. Required Qualifications Strong mechanical aptitude and excellent hand-eye coordination. Ability to perform careful, repetitive work with small and fragile components. Ability to follow detailed written instructions and established processes. Ability to complete production and quality records accurately and legibly. Basic computer skills. Comfortable using hand tools and measuring equipment. Dependable attendance and willingness to learn different manufacturing operations. Flexibility to change priorities and take on responsibilities outside a narrowly defined role. Ability to work effectively as part of a small team. Ability to communicate problems clearly and ask questions when requirements are unclear. High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications Experience in any of the following is helpful but not required: Electronics or medical-device assembly Fine soldering and wire preparation Adhesive or epoxy mixing and dispensing Precision sanding, polishing, lapping, or surface preparation Cable and connector assembly Inspection and quality documentation Multimeters, microscopes, test fixtures, or measurement tools Inventory counting or material control ISO 13485, FDA-regulated, or other controlled manufacturing environments Assembly of electromechanical products, equipment, or machinery Ideal Candidate The right person is patient, organized, mechanically inclined, and takes pride in producing consistent work. The individual must be comfortable performing highly precise and repetitive assembly work. Because we have fewer than 15 employees, this position is best suited for someone who enjoys the variety and responsibility of working in a small company. The ideal candidate is proactive, adaptable, willing to learn, and ready to help the team wherever needed. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand at a workstation for extended periods. Ability to perform detailed work requiring steady hands and close visual attention. Ability to lift and move components or finished products weighing up to approximately 40 pounds, with assistance when necessary. Ability to safely use common hand tools and manufacturing equipment.
