About Us An established medical device design and manufacturing firm with over 25 years of experience — focused on bringing novel medical devices to market that improve patient treatment options and outcomes — is expanding with a new production facility in Vadnais Heights, MN. Join the founding production team and help build this facility's manufacturing culture from day one, with room to grow as the site scales. About the Role The Medical Device Assembler works within a high-energy manufacturing team to document, assemble, and test a range of medical devices. This position requires you to be well organized, self-motivated, and able to meet a demanding shipping schedule. Attention to detail is critical in the assembly of medical devices. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. Placement at Level I or Level II — and the corresponding rate within the posted range — will be based on relevant experience and demonstrated skills. Responsibilities Perform mechanical and electrical assembly in accordance with company procedures, using adhesives, soldering irons, and various tools within the facility. Inspect incoming materials in accordance with item masters and the company quality system. Follow quality control procedures and perform in-line testing to ensure quality standards are continually met. Document non-conformance reports (NCRs) in accordance with the company quality system. Follow all company health and safety policies and requirements, including usage, care, and storage of personal protective equipment. Provide support to other areas of the company including, but not limited to, Quality Assurance, Product Development, and Supply Chain. What You Must Have Ability to read and understand electronic and mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical work instructions. Experience with mechanical assembly, electronic assembly, or system troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy in a regulated manufacturing environment. Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office). Ability to lift, pull, and move parts weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and to support other departments as required. Nice to Have Soldering experience (IPC or similar training a plus). Experience with SharePoint and MRP/ERP software. Familiarity with ISO quality systems (e.g., ISO 13485) or other regulated manufacturing environments. Post-secondary education in manufacturing, engineering, or technology — or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Schedule & Compensation Full-time, first shift, on-site in Vadnais Heights, MN.
Pay range:
$22.00 - $26.00 per hour, depending on level placement and experience.
