Job Description

Lead Operator / Assembler Medical Device Greenfield Facility in West Charlotte A growing global medical device manufacturer is establishing its first U.S. manufacturing operation in the Charlotte area and is seeking a Lead Operator / Assembler to become one of the first production team members. This is not a typical assembly position. You'll work directly alongside manufacturing leadership to help establish production processes, assemble precision medical products, train new team members, and contribute to building a world-class manufacturing operation from the ground up. What You'll Do Perform precision assembly of medical device components following detailed work instructions and quality standards. Support the launch of new manufacturing processes and production lines. Work side-by-side with the Technical Leader to establish standardized work and best practices. Assist with equipment setup, troubleshooting, and production readiness activities. Identify opportunities to improve assembly methods, quality, efficiency, and workflow. Help train and mentor new production operators as the manufacturing team grows. Maintain accurate production documentation and quality records. Follow GMP, SOP, and quality system requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to support continuous improvement. What We're Looking For 5+ years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience. Technical degree Experience assembling precision mechanical, electromechanical, medical device, electronics, optical, aerospace, or similar products preferred. Comfortable using hand tools, measuring equipment, and following detailed assembly instructions. Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. Ability to identify problems and contribute practical solutions. Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and help others. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment.
