Job Description
## Overview We are seeking a maintenance technician to join our team at Imperial Casting Company, a second-generation gray and ductile iron casting foundry. Applicant must be physically able to perform diagnostics and repairs on electrically-operated equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, switches, conveyor belts and other industrial equipment, while working safely near molten iron. ## Responsibilities
- Follow the preventative maintenance schedule and complete PM tasks in time allotted
- Utilize work orders to plan the day's repair priorities
- Organize and procure needed tools and parts
- Begin to establish a "critical spares" parts room and tools crib
- Ensure the foundry is ready and able to produce required orders each day ## Skills
- Understand how various foundry machinery including cranes, hoists, electromagnets, furnaces, mold machines, grinding & cutting tools work, and how to repair
- Utilize cutting equipment for fabrication processes
- Welding
- Material belts & pulleys
- Handle forklift operations for material handling tasks
