Machinist / Lathe Operator Express Employment Professionals - Hanford, CA Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Machinist / Lathe Operator to join a growing production team in Hanford! This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on machine shop experience who is comfortable working independently and producing quality parts to exact specifications.

Pay:

$20-$28/hr

Monday-FridayWhat You'll Do:

Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines, drills, grinders, and other machine shop equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders. Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring tools. Calculate and adjust feed and speed rates based on material and tooling. Troubleshoot equipment and make adjustments to ensure parts meet specifications. Maintain consistent quality and tight tolerances throughout production. Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on machines and tooling. Work with manual and CNC equipment as needed. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE.

What We're Looking For:

3-5 years of hands-on machining or machine shop experience. Experience operating manual lathes and other machine shop equipment. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Strong understanding of measurements, dimensions, and tolerances. Experience using calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to troubleshoot and make machine/setup adjustments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable attendance and punctuality. High school diploma or GED required. Trade school or vocational training in machining or metalworking is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for extended periods. Comfortable working around heavy, noisy machinery. Ability to perform physically demanding work in a shop environment. Ability to safely work with machinery, tools, and materials while following PPE and safety requirements. Interested?
