SUMMARY:

Incumbent will be responsible for operating slitter presses.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Read schedules/reports to disseminate what needs to be slit Setup/adjust slitter knives and razor knives Monitor material quality during slitting process Fill out computerized form of what is slit on a daily basis including lot numbers Unload/load trailers Empty trash hoppers Supply raw material to presses Report any unsafe condition(s), injury or accident immediately to production lead or other member of management Cross-train in other areas for flexibility to meet production needs Perform all other tasks assigned by the supervisor, as needed

Education And/Or Experience :

High School diploma or GED or 1-5 years press experience. and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Skills And Abilities:

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English in order to communicate effectively with co-workers, and to follow instructions. Good mechanical aptitude Superior trouble shooting skills Strong math skills Basic measurement skills (ruler, tape measure, calipers)
