Position Summary:
Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures.
Role Description:
Manual cleaning and inspection of moulds for Engineered Stone products and movement of slabs utilizing overhead crane. Manual measurement and quality checks of semi-finished slabs is also required. Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to: eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel-toed shoes. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
Responsibilities:
Hands-on production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. Semi-Product inspection and documentation. Operational control of release agent preparation and distribution. Responsible for rubber mould loading and line control. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining moulds. Responsible for quality control Make adjustments as necessary during shift to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside of specifications. Detailed cleaning of all applicable areas during product color changes. Communicate with other Operators, Assistant Shift Leaders and Shift Leader. Ensure a clean and safe work area. Complete shift paper work. Assist in production as necessary. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. Good verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of basic moulding processes, procedures, and machinery preferred (ex. oven/kiln operation, conveying systems, presses). Experience in the safe storage and handling of chemicals.
Physical Demands:
May encounter the following chemicals: o Acetone o Resin o Styrene • Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required. Ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time. Ability to work overtime hours as needed with little or no notification. ?
