Shift Description:
To Support and maintain the company policies Support and maintain the
ISO 9001
2015 and
ISO 13485
2016 system to achieve complete customer satisfaction Handle and distribute tool work orders to the tool room personnel based on plant priorities As needed, assist the other tool makers to meet schedules stay later as needed Maintain the schedules for repairs, communicate daily with the Plant Manager and Engineering on items that ,ay be affected by the schedule or supplies that are needed Oversee and maintain the storage, use and maintenance of the tool room equipment and inventory expendables Maintain the storage of molds and mold storage racks. The Tool Room Manager is responsible for the conditions of the mold rack and storage areas Maintain a log spare parts for active molds based on mold down times. Be responsible for documenting broken items to ensure a quick repair the next time it may break Order shop supplies as needed and maintain adequate levels of inventory Modify and repair molds, jigs and fixtures to very close tolerances per print and instructions Perform skilled fitting operations Make allowances for shrinkage during heat treating of tools. Analyze mold modifications to meet production needs. Plan repair procedures and select or recommend special materials Repair and maintain tooling. Interact with Engineering, Maintenance and Sales. Troubleshoot work in process in tool room area Paperwork duties: a. Prepare tool room weekly utilization reportb. Review incoming work orders, assign jobs to the appropriate peoplec. Prepare and update tooling customer files. Includes blueprints, work orders, labor hours, materials and costsd. Collect and file complete work orders Observe established safety practices. Inspect reported equipment that does not appear to be operating safely. Report problem to General Manager and maintenance Use lockout/tagout procedures until repaired Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
5 years' experience Tool Building 5 years' experience with Blueprints Must have own tools Computer literate Good mathematical skills Good communication skills Must be able to set up and use the following machines: Vertical milling machine, sine plate, rotary turntable, cross slide turntable, surface grinder and lathe Must be able to machine electrodes for standard EDM and understand spark erosion

$27.00 - $28.00 per hour
