Job Summary:

The Molding Process Technician is responsible for setting molds and starting molders within established process guidelines.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the overall success of the company by completing all assigned duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Ability to process and operate Injection Molding Machines, and Blow Molding Machines
• Monitor, maintain and recommend improvements to standard molding cycle times and part quality.
• Launch new molds and obtain first piece approval to engineering standards. Develop and implement operating instructions working closely with QA.
• Develop and implement well-managed process for mold changes to optimize uptime and ensure performance objectives are achieved. Continuously explore opportunities to reduce changeover times.
• Ability to program and troubleshoot Injection molding robots
• Ability to correctly handle/ clean all tooling and equipment without causing damage
• Set molds as required by schedule and process to conform to quality standard.
• Checking parts and their quality, while completing paperwork logs.
• Assist maintenance when needed on the injection molding machines, blow molding and other processing equipment.

Skills:

• Knowledge of different plastic materials and their individual characteristics
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and the ability to apply it in a work situation.
• Understanding of mold construction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Basic Computer Skills/ Ability to work a press HMI
• Ability to lift 50 lbs along with other physical exertion

Work Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required. Equal field experience will be considered.
• 3+ years of Process Technician experience
• Previous forklift and crane operating experience a plus
• Robot programming and troubleshooting

$23.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week
