293522844 Report this job Apply Now Save To My Profile Email Print Job Description Casey Equipment is looking for a talented and experienced Manual Lathe Operator (non-CNC) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining, a thorough understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensional tolerances, and a passion for precision and craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine electric motor armature shafts, including tapering and threading. Read and interpret mechanical drawings to produce parts with precise tolerances. Set up and operate various machines, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses, to produce components to specifications. Perform threading operations using lathes and milling machines. Identify and understand steel types, properties, and characteristics to determine appropriate machining processes. Complete machining reports and maintain accurate paperwork. Operate overhead cranes and forklifts as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with safety standards. Assist with general laborer duties and provide support to the Brake Division as required.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of mechanical drawings and dimensional tolerances. Proficiency in operating lathes, milling machines, and drill presses. Knowledge of steel properties and machining techniques. Familiarity with operating overhead cranes and forklifts (certification preferred).

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of machining experience (preferred).

Worksite location: Struthers, Ohio All positions are on-site and in-person; remote work is not available

Schedule:

Monday•Friday, 7:00am•3:30pm

Hourly Rate:

$22.50

Overtime:

May be required on an as-needed basis

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants selected for employment must successfully complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening, with satisfactory results required prior to employment. Employees must also successfully complete a 90-day introductory period to remain employed and become eligible for company benefits.
