Job Description

Overview Deluxe Plastics is a contract injection molder based in northeastern Wisconsin, specializing in manufacturing a diverse range of products such as bathroom dispensers and furniture parts. The company is committed to delivering high-quality plastic components through innovative manufacturing processes.
Job description:
Pay will be based on experience 3rd Shift 11pm to 7am - $3.00 Shift Premium Experience is preferred but will train the right person for this position.
Position Summary:
Ensures the timely completion of the molding process by set-up and start-up of molding machines and robots, optimizing efficiency of machinery, and accurate documentation of set-up sheets, sample requests, and process changes.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs mold changes on injection molding machines. Responsible for performing start up process per corresponding set up sheets. Completes start of shift molding machine check sheet daily. Perform tasks as assigned on the Mold Machine Checklist. Sets up auxiliary equipment (conveyers, dryers, robots, pad printers, welders, etc.) to specification. Provides technical assistance to Production Personnel. Researches and solves (or assist with) production, setup and maintenance problems. Ensures set up and cleaning are done in a manner to allow product to meet quality standards. Ensures production area is clean, and production materials are properly stored. Responsible for proper tagging of molds following production to indicate mold status. Assists in training new employees. Understand and assist in material handling of plastic resins if needed. Participates on committees and works on projects. Responsible for providing complete and accurate information to the next shift. Responsible for stopping a product or process to correct a quality problem and/or bring to the attention of management. Responsible for maintaining safety including; recognize hazards, human or product, and take required action to eliminate them, know and practice safe lifting, bending and pulling/pushing procedures, know the location of material safety data sheets (MSDS) and other appropriate safety devices, know the procedures for fire evacuation, severe weather and power failure, use equipment properly and know the safety features, be familiar with the lockout/tagout procedures, and know location / items available of the first aid station. Assures a high level of safety for self and co-workers. Additional responsibilities as defined in the quality manual, procedures and work instructions.
