Operate and oversee the use of heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, and water trucks to perform construction tasks efficiently. Conduct routine maintenance checks on construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Lead a team of equipment operators, providing guidance on safe operation procedures and best practices for construction utility work. Implement safety protocols in accordance with federal construction safety regulations and equipment safety procedures; conduct regular safety briefings and inspections. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and utility locators to plan excavation sequences and resolve on-site challenges promptly. Demonstrated ability to lead a team of operators while maintaining high safety standards in compliance with federal regulations. Hands-on experience with equipment maintenance routines and troubleshooting mechanical issues. Valid commercial driver's license with experience in commercial truck driving; ability to operate water trucks or similar vehicles is preferred. Construction site experience emphasizing safety regulations, utility installation procedures, and construction grading techniques.
