Chemical Cleaning Supervisor
Job Description
We're looking for a dependable Chemical Cleaning Supervisor (Part-Time) to safely lead chemical and industrial cleaning projects at customer sites while supporting crews, coordinating equipment, and maintaining strong customer communication. This hands-on role is ideal for an experienced industrial professional who can provide flexible, part-time supervisory support as operational and customer needs arise. What You'll Do Safely and efficiently supervise chemical cleaning and industrial cleaning work at customer job sites. Lead assigned crews of approximately 5-20 employees while supporting safe, productive, and high-quality job execution. Conduct safety meetings, complete Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and reinforce required safety observations and compliance before and during work. Coordinate personnel, equipment, schedules, and workflow to meet customer requirements and operational priorities. Communicate regularly with customers, Operations, Logistics, and MPW management regarding job status, requirements, and changing conditions. Complete and review customer work orders and ensure required documentation is forwarded to the administrative team. Apply chemical cleaning and industrial cleaning expertise while stepping into operational responsibilities when job conditions require hands-on support. Train and coach employees to improve safety, technical performance, productivity, and overall job execution. Evaluate employee performance and initiate or document corrective action when appropriate and within assigned responsibilities. Balance changing workloads and make sound decisions when working under customer deadlines and time-sensitive job conditions. Identify practical solutions to field challenges while maintaining safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. Support MPW's rapid-response service model by adapting to changing customer needs and emergency work requirements. Make independent job-site decisions within the established scope of supervisory responsibilities. Perform additional duties as directed to support successful project completion and customer needs. What You'll Need High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or trade education is preferred, and an associate degree in Industrial Systems Technology is a plus. Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus. Two to three years of hands-on experience in chemical cleaning, industrial cleaning, construction, equipment maintenance, or a related industrial environment is preferred. Working knowledge of mechanical concepts and industrial systems; experience in power generation, steel mills, pulp and paper mills, manufacturing, or similar facilities is a plus. Strong verbal, written, and listening skills with the ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and management. Ability to move up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodation and perform consistent physical manual labor while maintaining alertness and fitness for duty. Ability to work in and around confined spaces, work at heights, and wear a respirator in environments where chemicals, fumes, or similar exposures may be present. Ability to support a flexible part-time schedule based on operational needs, including potential call-ins at various hours or days due to the 24/7 emergency-response nature of the business. Ability to work non-traditional or extended hours when required and travel to job sites in multiple states for periods ranging from days to weeks.
