Assistant Operator Water Department Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of semi-skilled and skilled duties in the inspection, installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution system facilities; assists in maintenance tasks related to the water distribution system; and performs a variety of tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility. Ability to learn the operation of the water distribution system Ability to perform manual labor including loading equipment, lift and move 40 pounds unaided, climb ladders, etc. Work outdoors in all-weather types, including inclement weather Performs all work in accordance with established safety policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Preferred Applicant Requirements:

Education - High School Graduate or GED Good vision, hearing, speaking skills, as well as manual dexterity The ability to perform manual labor including stand for long periods of time, lift and move 40 pounds unaided, climb ladders
