As an Operator B, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the University's Power Plant and its connected systems. This position is a great opportunity for individuals who are passionate about energy operations and eager to grow their career in a supportive, mission-driven environment. What You'll Do Assist the Operator A in the operation and oversight of Power Plant equipment and remotely controlled systems.
Independently operate Power Plant boilers with minimal supervision.
Support the start-up or shutdown of equipment as part of routine operations or in emergency situations.
Perform chemical water analysis and adjust treatment levels as required.
Log and document plant activities accurately using Shift Connector and other systems.
Provide support for plant reliability, safety, and efficiency across all shifts.

Qualifications Education & Training High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
One-year technical certificate or training from a college/technical school (preferred). Experience 1-2 years of relevant experience in utilities, power generation, or industrial systems. Certifications & Skills Must obtain a Visible Emissions Certificate within six months of hire and maintain annually.
Proficiency with distributed control system software.
Competence in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and Assetworks (AiM), including mobile applications.
Ability to use Shift Connector for documentation and navigation.
Strong technical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
