Sunday, November 1st 2026. Nature of Work This is entry-level technical work assisting in the proper and effective operation of a water treatment plant. Employees in this class will work under direct and continuing supervision of an administrative superior until receiving a Grade I certification from the North Dakota State Department of Environmental Quality. Education, Experience, Other Requirements Completion of high school and one year of experience in general laboring and construction work; or any equivalent combination of training and experience. Possession of a valid North Dakota Driver License. Possession of or ability to obtain, within probationary period, a North Dakota Commercial Driver License with proper endorsements. Compensation and Benefits The assigned salary range for the position of Water Plant Operator I under the 2026 City of Minot Annual Pay Plan is a Grade 50, which is $20.96 per hour- $31.11 per hour or $43,593- $64,713 annually.
