Duties Operate and monitor asphalt plant equipment, including loaders, mixers, and conveyors, to produce consistent asphalt mixtures according to project specifications. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on plant machinery, utilizing hand tools, welding techniques, and fabrication skills to ensure optimal performance. Safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, and concrete mixers while adhering to all safety protocols in outdoor work environments. Perform quality control checks on asphalt batches, adjusting mixture components based on testing results and technical guidelines. Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance logs, and safety compliance documentation. Assist in warehouse organization by handling materials with forklift operation and managing inventory of raw materials like aggregates and binders. Skills Proven experience operating heavy equipment including loaders, forklifts, concrete mixers, and power tools with a strong focus on safety standards. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance, machining processes, welding, fabrication, and troubleshooting plant equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD software for mixture design and construction projects. Construction industry experience with outdoor work environments requiring heavy lifting and physical stamina. Basic math skills for measuring materials accurately and calculating mixture proportions. Familiarity with safety protocols in manufacturing settings to ensure compliance during all phases of production.
