Job Description

The Batch Plant Helper assists with the daily operation, maintenance, and organization of the concrete batch plant. This position supports production by monitoring material inventories, performing equipment inspections, assisting with quality control activities, and maintaining a safe and clean work environment. This position provides opportunities to learn batching operations and develop the skills needed to serve as a backup Batch Plant Operator when required. Advancement opportunities may become available based on individual performance, qualifications, and company needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with daily batch plant operations. Monitor cement, aggregate, and admixture inventory levels. Perform housekeeping in and around the batch plant and material storage areas. Conduct pre-operation inspections of loaders, forklifts, transport buckets, and batch plant equipment. Report equipment issues and assist with preventive maintenance activities. Assist Quality Control personnel with moisture testing, material verification, and concrete sampling. Support production schedules and communicate material needs. Complete required inspection forms and production records. Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic math and communication skills. Ability to follow instructions and work independently. Mechanical aptitude preferred. Construction, manufacturing, loader, or forklift experience is a plus. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and kneeling. Ability to work around heavy equipment and moving machinery. Ability to work in outdoor conditions, dust, and noise.
