Description:

The Plant Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining equipment and processes in a manufacturing or industrial facility. This role ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable production of goods in accordance with quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures. The Plant Production Operator plays a critical role in maintaining productivity while minimizing downtime and ensuring product quality. Operates machinery and production equipment according to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Monitors control panels, gauges, and instrumentation to ensure proper process operation. Performs routine checks and records operational data such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates. Identifies and completes reports of equipment malfunctions or process abnormalities to supervisors or maintenance staff. Assists in startup, shutdown, and cleaning procedures for equipment and production lines. Adhere to all safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas in compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards. Follow batch, process, or production instructions to ensure product consistency and quality. Collaborates with maintenance, quality, and other teams to support efficient operations. Completes logs, reports, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. On-the-job training will be provided; additional certifications (e.g., forklift operation, confined space entry) are a plus. Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to operate industrial machinery. Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify operational issues. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A willingness to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, or holidays, if required. Basic computer skills and ability to use digital interfaces and controls. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical certification or training in industrial operations, chemical processing, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing, chemical processing, or production operations environment preferred.
