Job Description

ARO is seeking experienced Document Prep and Scanning Associates for a temporary assignment (approximately 5 weeks) in the Land O'Lakes, FL area, beginning September 14, 2026.In this role, you will be responsible for preparing physical documents for digital conversion and performing high-volume scanning to produce accurate, high-quality digital images.
Second Shift:
3:00 PM - 11:00 or 11:30 PM, pay is $21.00/hr. This position requires successful completion of a background check, drug screening, and fingerprinting. Key Responsibilities Prepare incoming documents for scanning: remove staples, clips, and fasteners; repair torn pages; unfold and flatten materials; and organize documents into batches per project specifications. Sort, batch, and label documents accurately according to established indexing and workflow procedures. Operate high-speed production scanners and related imaging equipment to convert paper records into digital files. Verify page counts and document integrity before and after scanning to maintain accurate chain of custody. Enter or confirm basic index data (e.g., document type, date, account number) in accordance with client requirements. Maintain the security and confidentiality of sensitive, proprietary, and regulated documents (e.g., PII, PHI, financial records) throughout the prep and scan process. Prepare processed documents for storage, return to client, or secure destruction/shredding per retention policy. Monitor scanner performance, perform routine cleaning, and report equipment issues or malfunctions to the supervisor. Meet daily production and quality targets while adhering to safety and operational procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation and production area. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience (2 years) in document imaging and records management Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy when handling repetitive tasks. Ability to follow detailed written procedures and adapt to project-specific instructions. Basic computer proficiency, including comfort with scanning software and standard office applications. Trustworthy and discreet when handling confidential or sensitive information. Reliable attendance and ability to work assigned shift. Ability to pass a background check, consistent with client and contractual requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while operating scanning equipment. Ability to lift and carry boxes of documents up to 25-50 lbs. Repetitive use of hands for document handling and equipment operation.
