Schwartz Brothers Printing, LLC Position Overview The Printer Technician reports directly to the Director of Manufacturing. This hands-on role is responsible for leading, performing, and overseeing daily screen-printing bottle production activities to maintain high standards for output, print quality, and ink adhesion. Key Responsibilities Production & Operations Manage daily bottle printing operations, including machine startup, setup, squeegee/screen adjustments, and color/ink management. Perform real-time troubleshooting, line adjustments, and corrective actions for print appearance and ink adhesion issues. Direct and supervise Printer Operators assigned to the printing department. Complete daily electronic production logging and scrap reporting. Handle machine cleanup and prep equipment for upcoming production shifts. Inventory & Supply Chain Monitor consumable material inventory (screens, squeegees, inks, chemicals, etc.) and coordinate material planning. Submit purchase order requests to the Purchasing Department and process receipt notifications for incoming consumables. Manage physical and electronic transfers of bottle vessel inventory to and from warehouse storage. Maintain complete inventory tracking for bottles, equipment, and departmental supplies. Quality Control & Equipment Maintenance Perform active maintenance, minor repairs, and routine preventative upkeep on printing room equipment. Inspect incoming raw bottles molded by outside vendors, verifying graduation marks, surface quality, and print readiness. Support quality assurance standards and maintain necessary quality report documentation.
Requirements Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance, hand tools, and setup/operation of computer-controlled equipment.
Printing Experience:
Background in screen printing and handling, measuring, and mixing inks or paints is highly preferred.
Soft Skills:
Action-oriented problem solver with strong verbal and written communication skills in a collaborative team environment.
Administrative Skills:
General business proficiency with email, basic spreadsheets, and documentation updates.
Basic Requirements:
Valid driver's license, regular and reliable attendance, and ability to work overtime as needed. Work Environment & Physical Demands Must read, write, and communicate fluently in English using professional grammar and spelling. Bilingual Spanish a plus Knowledge and capability to safely handle, store, and dispose of chemicals standard to screen printing operations. Ability to meet standard physical requirements required for routine setup, lifting, machine operation, and material transfers in a manufacturing setting.
Pay:
$50,000.00 - $56,000.00 per year
