Description
PRINTER ASSISTANT/PRINTER TECHNICIAN
Position Open Immediately Full-time (260 Days); Family Benefits; State Pension (PSERS)
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 5 years of trade experience in all phases of printing technology including:
Commercial and industrial visual image and print products using mechanical, electronic and digital graphic and printing equipment
Desktop publishing, layout, composition, presswork and bindery
Photography, flexography, lithography, photoengraving, and other graphic arts techniques
Ink and color preparation and dynamics
Airbrush and screen-printing production
Support students in all aspects of production in a live print shop
Good human relations and written/verbal communication skills required.
Ability to relate well with young people in a supportive role.
Working knowledge of computer applications.
Eligible to obtain PDE-related Act 34, Act 151 and FBI clearances.
Must pass a physical and drug test.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION
Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
