Available Benefits Help for . Prepare and process printing plates according to job specifications and production requirements.
Review job tickets, plate specifications, artwork information, and production instructions before beginning work.
Mount printing plates accurately onto cylinders or sleeves according to specified repeat length, registration, and plate position.
Verify plate orientation, dimensions, registration marks, and job information.
Inspect plates for defects, damage, contamination, lifting, bubbles, or other conditions that could affect print quality.
Ensure the correct plates are prepared for each printing job and match the required colors and specifications.
Communicate with Prepress, Press Operators, Quality Control, and Production Supervisors regarding plate requirements or potential problems.
Make adjustments to plate mounting when necessary to achieve proper registration and print performance.
Clean and maintain plate-mounting equipment, tools, work surfaces, and related equipment.
Properly label, organize, store, and handle completed plates to prevent damage or loss.
Remove plates from cylinders or sleeves after production and prepare them for cleaning and storage or return to the appropriate area.
Maintain accurate records and documentation related to printing plates and production jobs.
Identify and report damaged or unusable plates before they reach the printing press.
Follow established procedures for handling inks, solvents, adhesives, cleaning materials, and other production chemicals.
Follow all Fox Packaging safety policies, PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and applicable operating procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Help minimize plate waste, material waste, production downtime, and rework.
Meet established productivity, quality, and production requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
