In this role, you will be responsible for operating press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with precision and efficiency. Your expertise in machine setup, measurement, and safety standards will ensure high-quality production outputs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to metal fabrication projects that demand accuracy, mechanical knowledge, and a proactive approach to safety and quality. Duties Set up and operate press brake machines to bend sheet metal according to technical drawings and specifications Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and shop math to determine correct machine settings and tooling configurations Measure finished parts using precision measurement instruments to ensure adherence to quality standards Adjust machine parameters during production runs for optimal accuracy and efficiency Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to minimize downtime Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools, measuring instruments, and personal protective equipment Collaborate with team members on forming processes, tooling selection, and quality control activities Requirements Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately Familiarity with CNC programming and CNC laser cutting is a plus for integrated manufacturing processes Ability to use measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments for quality inspection Knowledge of safety standards in production environments, including safe machine operation and handling of tooling Basic math skills including shop math necessary for machine setup and measurement calculations Experience with other machining tools such as CNC lathes, CNC milling machines, plasma cutting, electrical discharge machining (EDM), stamping presses, forming machines, welding equipment, and hand tools is advantageous Mechanical aptitude combined with the ability to interpret technical drawings accurately ensures precise fabrication results Valid certification or training in forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory Join our team where your skills will be valued!
