Position Overview Masterack is seeking a detail-oriented Set-Up & Run Operator to safely set up, operate, and monitor production equipment used to manufacture high-quality metal components. This role is responsible for producing parts that meet quality, productivity, and safety standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate manufacturing equipment according to production schedules and work instructions. Operate equipment including press brakes, punch presses, CNC machinery, riveters, wire benders, wire straighteners, and other fabrication equipment. Retrieve work orders and production routers to determine tooling, material, and setup requirements. Verify first-piece quality and perform routine quality inspections throughout production. Read blueprints, work instructions, and manufacturing specifications. Use measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges to verify dimensional accuracy. Complete required production, inspection, and quality documentation accurately. Identify quality concerns and notify supervisors of machine or tooling issues. Maintain a clean, organized work area following 5S standards. Assist with material handling as needed. Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE. Support continuous improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 1-3 years of manufacturing or machine operator experience. Experience operating fabrication or CNC equipment preferred. Ability to read blueprints and work instructions. Basic math and measurement skills. Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Forklift experience preferred or ability to become certified. Preferred Skills CNC experience Press brake experience Punch press experience Lean Manufacturing Quality inspection experience Physical Requirements Frequently stand and walk during the shift. Frequently bend, reach, and lift materials. Lift up to 35 pounds . Ability to work overtime as required.
