Punch Press Operator Marengo Tool and Die Works Marengo, IL Job Details Full-time $19 - $22 an hour 3 days ago Benefits Profit sharing Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Employee assistance program Vision insurance Life insurance Referral program Qualifications Cutting Manufacturing facility experience Attention to detail Materials handling Manufacturing Full Job Description Marengo Tool & Die Works is looking for a dependable and hardworking Punch Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. We're looking for someone who is safety-minded, reliable, pays attention to detail, and takes pride in producing quality work. Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience is preferred, but we are also looking for someone who is willing to learn, follow instructions, and work as part of a team.
The ideal candidate will:
Be dependable and arrive ready to work Follow safety procedures and established work instructions Operate and monitor previously set-up punch press equipment Pay close attention to part quality and identify defects Have basic math and measuring skills Keep their work area clean, safe, and organized Be comfortable working around machinery, noise, metal, and oils Be able to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive work Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Communicate equipment problems or quality concerns promptly Be willing to assist with material handling, packaging, and other production duties when needed Work well independently and as part of a team Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but a strong work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn are important to us. The job's physical requirements include extended standing/walking, bending, reaching, pushing/pulling, repetitive movements, and lifting/carrying up to 50 lbs.
