Our client, an aerospace manufacturing company in Westfield, MA is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bridgeport Operator to join their production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Bridgeport milling machines to produce precision metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and the use of various measurement tools to ensure high-quality output. The ideal candidate will contribute to our commitment to manufacturing excellence through precise machine operation and quality control.

Overview:

Set up, operate, and maintain conventional machinery—including Bridgeports, Prototrac controls, grinders, and lathes—to produce precision metal parts and tooling according to blueprints and

AS9100/ISO9001

standards.

Qualifications:

High school diploma (technical trade school preferred) Proven manual machining experience Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to pass and maintain the

Certified Operator Program Core Duties:

Perform complete setups, operation, and teardowns of Bridgeport and associated conventional equipment Calculate speeds and feeds, interpret blueprints, and verify part dimensions using precision inspection tools like micrometers, calipers, and indicators Maintain strict compliance with quality documentation, tool health, safety culture, and 6S organization standards

Schedule & Conditions:

First Shift (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) in a standard production environment Requiring PPE and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds Potential travel between the Southwick and Westfield facilities. This Bridgeport Operator position offers an opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment in a dynamic environment that values precision craftsmanship. Candidates who are committed to quality assurance through meticulous setup and operation of CNC machinery are encouraged to apply. This position would come with a full slate of benefits and a base rate in the $30-37/hr range. The client company will move quickly through the interview process and will offer the potential for quarterly bonus payouts as well from 0-5%, which is dependent upon the company hitting certain revenue goals on a quarterly basis.
