Job Description

Production / OperatorJob Summary-

Set up, operate, and tend presses to run progressive dies.

Do scheduled quality checks of parts being produced. Miscellaneous duties assigned by Press Room Manager.

General Accountabilities -

Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications.
Set up, test, and adjust presses according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
Load material into presses.
Load and setup dies into presses.
Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or comparator and record on provided inspection sheets
Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
