Job Description

Production / OperatorJob Summary-
  • Set up, operate, and tend presses to run progressive dies.
Do scheduled quality checks of parts being produced. Miscellaneous duties assigned by Press Room Manager.

General Accountabilities -
  • Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications.
  • Set up, test, and adjust presses according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools.
  • Load material into presses.
  • Load and setup dies into presses.
  • Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data.
  • Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or comparator and record on provided inspection sheets
  • Examine completed workpieces for defects and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws.
Set up, operator and tend presses to run progressive dies
