Quad is seeking a Gather Operator to support our information technology-driven print and marketing production operations. In this role, you will set up, operate and monitor gathering equipment used to assemble printed materials and marketing collateral with high accuracy and quality. You will interpret job tickets, load materials, perform basic machine adjustments, and conduct routine inspections to minimize downtime. Collaborating closely with production, IT and quality teams, you'll follow safety and maintenance procedures, document production data, and help troubleshoot minor mechanical or software issues while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Set up and operate gatherers to assemble printed components per job specifications Read and interpret job tickets and production schedules Monitor equipment performance and product quality, making minor adjustments as needed Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines Load, stage and verify materials to minimize downtime and waste Record production data and communicate issues to supervisors and support teams Follow all safety, quality and housekeeping standards Collaborate with IT, maintenance and production teams to resolve equipment or workflow issues Required Skills Print production equipment operation Machine setup and calibration Basic mechanical troubleshooting Production workflow and scheduling Quality control inspection Reading job tickets/specifications Basic computer literacy Safety and lockout/tagout practices Data entry and production reporting Preventive maintenance routines
