Full Job Description Job Summary:

The Machine Operator will work under the direction of the Production Manager and will safely control various printing machines and die cutting equipment involved in production. This is not a CNC position.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operates diecut machine in accordance with work order specifications.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs basic and routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Reviews work orders and quality forms to understand the scope and parameters of print jobs and ensures jobs run correctly according to art content, sizing, and spacing.
• Adjusts machine according to correct specs and uses correct materials such as paper, film, dies, plates, lamination, varnish, etcetera.
• Ensures each print job meets quality standards and when necessary, works with the graphics team on color matching.
• Closely monitors the machine to maintain quality of work and completes the required paperwork for each printing job.
• Informs supervisor of problems with equipment or materials.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate assigned machine and learn types of material to use per job.
• Strong math skills to calculate footage and quantities while operating machine.
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain safety.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
• Excellent attention to detail and color.
• Previous machine operator experience preferred.
• Previous experience working with Mark Andy or Xeikon digital presses highly preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Physically able to operate machine and tools.

• Prolonged periods of standing while operating machine.
• Able to bend & kneel frequently.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time.

Work Schedule:

Full-time, Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, overtime as needed.

Pay range:

$18 - $20 per hour depending on experience.
