Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Web Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Web Press Operator is a position that requires knowledge of all aspects of the press with over 5 years of printing experience. This person is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining web press equipment to produce high-quality printed packaging materials. This role supports production goals while strictly following company policies, safety requirements, and SQF (Safe Quality Food) food safety and quality standards. This role also requires assisting in training of others including the Web Press Operator II positions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with industrial printing equipment and contribute to the creation of visually compelling printed products. Responsibilities Operator will efficiently do press setup and job changeovers keeping within estimated work order times Load and unload materials such as rolls, inks, plates, monitor supplies and inform management of low inventories. Monitor press operation, troubleshoot any issues and correct any quality or equipment issues quickly and efficiently. Inspect printed materials for obvious defects and quality concerns, setting aside and informing management of anything that does not meet Olympak's quality standards. Keep the press and press area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies Remove waste and scrap materials following proper disposal procedures Follow job tickets, work instructions, and production schedules Bring any incorrect information on work orders to management to correct. Accurately assist with production documentation as required Skills Strong knowledge of color management principles and techniques for consistent output across various media. Experienced Müller Martini Concepta Press Operators. Experience operating large-format printers, flexo presses, screen printing equipment, and digital printing machines. Mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment adjustment, machining, and troubleshooting printing machinery. Familiarity with prepress processes including layout design, print advertising preparation, and manufacturing workflows. Ability to interpret complex production documents accurately for efficient job execution. Excellent attention to detail for quality control purposes and maintaining high standards in printed products. $26.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
