Company Overview We are a leading manufacturer of plastic products seeking a dependable Shift Lead / Press Operator. This role is critical in supporting production, training operators, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and ensuring the smooth operation of all presses. Position Overview The Shift Lead / Press Operator will handle finished goods, prepare stations for mold changes, assist in operator training, and support supervisors with paperwork and production tasks. This role requires hands-on experience with presses, attention to detail, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Move finished goods from the press area and stage items (pallets, boxes, paperwork). Prepare press stations for mold changes, including work instructions and boundary samples. Provide breaks coverage as needed. Assist with rework of parts when required. Train operators on press operation and report training status to Supervisor. Operate all presses as needed. Support Supervisor with paperwork and production documentation. Monitor operator performance and provide updates to Supervisor. Perform general housekeeping in the press area. Perform grinding and other tasks assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Ability to operate all presses safely and efficiently. Forklift operation experience required. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. Strong attention to detail and safety-conscious mindset.
