This position focuses on the installation of mechanics service bodies , service cranes , hydraulic systems , and related commercial‑truck equipment. You will perform full upfits on new commercial chassis, transforming them into fully functional field‑service vehicles. If you enjoy precise mechanical work, hydraulic integration, electrical wiring, and custom installation challenges, this is a great fit. Key Responsibilities Install mechanics service bodies and heavy‑duty utility bodies Mount and set up telescopic service cranes , outriggers, and stabilizers Install and integrate hydraulic systems , including PTO-driven pumps, valves, tanks, and hose plumbing Perform 12V electrical work , including lighting, control modules, switches, crane electronics, and wiring harnesses Install air compressors, reel kits, tank mounts , and other jobsite accessories Assemble and mount work‑truck components , such as tool storage, lighting packages, and safety equipment Perform fabrication tasks as needed, including drilling, cutting, mounting, and aligning equipment Ensure all installations meet quality, safety, and manufacturer specifications Ideal Candidate Background This role is well-suited for individuals with experience in: Mechanics body installation Crane body installation Hydraulic and PTO system integration Commercial truck equipment installation Work‑truck or heavy‑equipment upfitting Mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical systems on trucks, equipment, or industrial machinery You do not need dealership experience — but hands‑on installation experience with bodies, cranes, or hydraulics is required.
